Labour law reform

The Slovenian government has introduced major changes in the country’s labour laws.

These worsen workers’ rights in some areas, such as notice periods, but also introduce improvements, such as redundancy payments for those on short term contracts.

Dušan Semolic, head of the largest union confederation ZSSS, said the measures were “not ideal, but they could be worse if we didn’t cooperate”.
