Inflation rebounds

Inflation rebounded in June. The annual rate of inflation under the Retail Prices Index (RPI) — the inflation measure favoured by union negotiators — rose to 3.4% from 3.3% in May. 


Inflation under the Consumer Prices Index Housing (CPIH), was unchanged at 2.3%, while under the Consumer Prices Index — the measure favoured by the Bank of England — it was unchanged at 2.4%.
