RPI lowest for over two years

On the back of cheaper seasonal food, the annual rate of inflation on the measure favoured by trade union negotiators — the Retail Prices Index — was at its lowest for over two years at 2.4%.


Inflation under the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) and the Consumer Prices Index Housing (CPIH) were unchanged at 1.9% and 1.8% respectively.
