2.65% for Bowyers food workers

A pay rise of 2.65%, with 3% on shift rates has been agreed for production workers at Pork Farms Bowyers in Trowbridge. The junior rate, at £188.34 is worth just under 87% of the grade C rate. The company felt that it needed to increase pay to reward the efforts of the workforce last year, maintain morale and encourage employees for next year. And, under the new agreement, employees who work a bank holiday will be able to choose to take the equivalent time off in lieu rather than pay. Starter rates were frozen at current levels but the new weekly grade rates after the 2.65% increase are:

Team co-ordinator £258.83

Process Operator £237.79

Grade A £231.05

Grade B £224.00

Grade C £216.95
