Monitoring corporate safety crimes

Corporate crime watchdog the Centre for Corporate Accountability (CCA) has added a new section to its website on corporate manslaughter. The site now has up-to-date details of all convictions, acquittals and on-going work-related manslaughter trials involving the prosecution of companies, directors and business owners. In the last decade only 11 companies have been prosecuted for manslaughter, and only four convicted. Only two directors have ever been jailed.

The CCA can be contacted at www.corporateaccountability.org or tel: 020 7490 4494
