Mental health awareness training

The NEU’s Organising Around Mental Health course “taps into the necessity to turn the challenges of workload and stress in schools into an opportunity to organise” its members.

Participants learn about mental health issues and conditions, what the law says about employers and disability, and how employment relations can make a difference. It examines the practical steps involved in working collectively to bring about lasting change in the workplace and what reps can do to help take care of their own mental health. It also offers separate casework training.
