Stress and mental health at work (May 2025)
The rate of self-reported work-related stress, depression or anxiety had already shown signs of increasing in the years prior to the coronavirus pandemic, which Usdaw retail union general secretary Paddy Lillis said had created “a mental health emergency” on top of an existing crisis. The current rate is higher than the 2018/19 pre-coronavirus level.
