Key changes and developments since last year

• the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) acknowledged shortcomings in the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR);

• the general Unite union has called for road traffic accidents to be reported to the HSE under RIDDOR;

• the HSE has revised its online guidance on first aid to include advise on mental health first aid;

• the government’s Work and Health Unit has published new research on how and why employers use occupational health services.
