As well as the general protection from dismissal for enforcing a statutory right under section 104 ERA 96 as mentioned above, employees are also protected from dismissal for enforcing a number of specific rights. For example, it is automatically unfair to dismiss an employee for enforcing their statutory rights to the National Minimum Wage (section 104A ERA 96), working time rights including holidays (section 101A ERA 96) or to claim tax credits (section 104B ERA 96).
