Part-time workers, fixed-term employees and agency workers all have statutory protection as a result of their employment status under the Part-Time Workers (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2000, Fixed-Term Employees (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2002, and Agency Workers Regulations 2010 respectively.

Dismissing a part-time, fixed-term or agency employee because they sought to enforce their rights under that legislation is automatically unfair.
