Health and Safety Law 2024 (October 2024)

In July 2023, it was reported that a former Royal Mail employee dismissed for whistleblowing was awarded more than £2.3 million in compensation following a long legal battle. In 2109, the Supreme Court found that Ms Jhuti was unfairly dismissed and suffered detriments including bullying, harassment and intimidation after raising concerns that Ofcom regulator guidance was being breached and about how some employee bonuses were being awarded (Royal Mail Group Ltd v Jhuti [2019] UKSC 55).
