Health and Safety Law 2024 (October 2024)

The TUC has published guidance for union representatives on making complaints about work-related stress to the HSE or local authority enforcement agencies. This advises reps who believe there are grounds for making a complaint, and who have already tried and failed to get the employer to act, to collect a dossier of evidence. This should include evidence that the problem is affecting a number of staff, including sickness records and survey results. It should also include evidence of the efforts the union has made to resolve the problem with the employer, such as letters, reports or emails, or minutes of meetings.
