The regulations legitimise “rolled-up” holiday pay for these irregular workers. Their holiday entitlement can now be calculated as at least 12.07% of pay for actual hours worked, spreading holiday pay over the year rather than when they take their leave — a practice previously banned for health and safety reasons (see page 181).
