Employers will often calculate holiday pay on termination of employment by using 1/365 of salary for each day’s leave, but this is not correct. In Stringer v Revenue and Customs Commissioners Case C-520/06 [2009] the European Court found that workers should receive payment on leave which is comparable to that received when working.
