Health and Safety Law 2024 (October 2024)

On 1 July 2020, the Netherlands decided to adopt a five-times-lower occupational exposure limit (OEL) of 0.01 mg/m3 — the highest level of worker protection in Europe. The European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) reported that unions in other European countries were also seeking to generalise this move, rather than wait for the 2023 deadline.
