The Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act) Bill originally contained new liabilities for employers in cases of third-party harassment of their staff unless they took “all reasonable steps” to prevent it. But although the then government committed to introducing legal protections against third party harassment, the provisions were excluded as a result of amendments in the House of Lords.
