Health and Safety Law 2024 (October 2024)

Millions of workers worked from home during lockdowns imposed at the height of the coronavirus pandemic and many continue to do so, often on a “hybrid” basis — routinely splitting their time between their workplace and home. In August 2023, the Acas industrial relations advisory service reported survey findings showing that over a third of employers (36%) had seen an increase in staff working from home compared to 2022, following the rise in the cost of living.
