However, the TUC warned that the so-called Henry VIII powers in the Bill would allow ministers to revoke legislation via regulation, so holiday pay, parental rights and health and safety protections remain vulnerable to the whims of a Secretary of State. The previous government amended the Working Time Regulations 1998 to change the way holiday entitlement and holiday pay calculations are made and to reduce reporting requirements (see Chapter 10).
