Sickness

As in the case of normal office working, homeworkers should not work if they are too ill to do so. Sick leave policies still apply whether the worker is at home or in the office. The worker should inform their line manager they are ill and/or follow the same sickness absence procedure as office-based staff. It is a good idea, if possible, for colleagues to be informed that the homeworker is ill and again for everyone to be informed when they are back at work.
