The grievance outcome

Following the grievance hearing, the employer must decide what action, if any, to take (Acas Code, para 40). They should:

• inform the employee in writing without unreasonable delay;

• set out what action, if any, the employer intends to take to resolve the grievance;

• inform the employee that they can appeal.
