The TUC survey of 1,200 BAME workers found than almost one in four had been excluded from workplace-related social events. Those responsible for organising social events should be encouraged to do so in a way that promotes inclusivity and avoids excluding those in the workforce with different needs, for example, holding the event in a non-alcoholic venue if that is appropriate.

This applies both to events organised by employers and to informal gatherings organised among workers themselves.
