Tackling bullying and harassment at work - a guide for union reps and workers (February 2019)

Chapter 6

Statement of commitment

[ch 6: page 59]

The policy should start with a statement of commitment that bullying and harassment will not be tolerated, and that complaints will be taken seriously and dealt with quickly. This should state the right of all staff to be treated with dignity and respect. It should also point out that all staff will be made aware of the policy, they are expected to comply with it, and that disciplinary action will be taken against those who do not.
