Calculating the hourly rate

The rep’s working hours are defined as “any time when, in accordance with his contract of employment, the employee is required to be at work”. The appropriate hourly rate is one week’s pay divided by the number of normal working hours in a week (where normal working hours differ from week to week or, over a longer period, the average number of normal working hours calculated in accordance with the regulations).
