In addition to a policy on drugs and alcohol, the University of Manchester provides procedures to support the policy and guidance notes for managers on these procedures. They include guidelines on conducting interviews with employees who appear to have a drug or alcohol problem; the signs of drug and alcohol abuse; and a list of advisory services that can help with alcohol and drug dependency.
