Imposed (i.e. statutory) terms

Some terms are imposed on all employment contracts by law, whether or not they have been agreed between the parties. These terms derive from statute. A good example is the sex equality clause, implied into every contract of employment by section 66 of the Equality Act 2010, entitling men and women to equal pay.
