3. APPLICATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF THE WORKING TIME REGULATIONS

Unions wishing to use the Working Time Regulations (WTR) to protect or advance their members’ interests can draw on guidance from a range of sources, negotiate to modify or exclude many of the provisions, and look either to the enforcement bodies or the tribunals to secure enforcement.
