There are statutory rights not to be refused employment on grounds relating to union membership (section 137 TULRCA), not to suffer on grounds of union membership or activities (section 146, TULRCA) and for employees, not to be dismissed on union grounds (section 152, TULRCA) or selected for redundancy on union grounds (section 153, TULRCA).
