Promoting equality for disabled workers - a guide for trade union reps (November 2013)

Chapter 1

Impairments excluded from the definition of a disability

The EA 2010 excludes addiction to alcohol, drugs, voyeurism, tendencies to set fires, steal and abuse others from being a disability. These exclusions also apply where the tendencies arise as a result of an impairment that constitutes a disability for the purposes of the EA 2010.
