Equality Law at Work 2018 - a guide for trade unions and working people (October 2018)

Chapter 1

Who is not protected?

[ch 1: page 11]

Broadly, the main categories of individuals without protection from discrimination at work are:

• the genuinely self-employed doing business on their own account, freely selling their goods or services to their own customers and clients; and

• genuine volunteers.

Chapter 3 looks at who is entitled to protection under the EA 10.
