Mitigation of loss

In an unfair dismissal claim, the claimant must show that they have taken steps to mitigate (lessen) their losses by finding alternative work. They should keep copies of job adverts, job applications, invitations to interview and rejections, and evidence of any other steps they have taken to find employment.
