Employees who lose work through redundancy are normally entitled to Employment Support Allowance (ESA) or Universal Credit.

The fact that a person has received redundancy pay is not a bar to receiving JSA, but if the redundancy package includes pay in lieu of notice there is usually no right to JSA until the notice period expires.
