• HSE statistics show that 147 workers were killed at work in 2018-19, but the Hazards Campaign report, The whole story, shows that 50,000 people died as a result of work last year;

• In a November 2019, the TUC highlighted a “massive and increasing deficiency” of occupational health (OH) capacity and the lack of access to OH through employers in a submission to the Department for Work and Pensions and Department of Health and Social Care consultation, “Health is everyone’s business”.
