• a forthcoming Building Safety Bill will establish a “radically new building and fire safety system” and take forward the recommendations of the post-Grenfell fire Hackitt Review;

• the Fire Safety Bill will amend the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to clarify that the responsible person, or duty-holder, for multi-occupied, residential buildings must manage and reduce the risk of fire for the structure and external walls of the building, including cladding, balconies and windows, as well as entrance doors to individual flats that open into common areas;

• a new Approved Code of Practice and Guidance for the Radiation (Emergency Preparedness and Public Information) Regulations 2019 has been published.
