The Agreenment project

Agreenment — a green mentality for collective bargaining is a European Union-funded research project looking at six countries: France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK. It is looking at how and why collective bargaining can contribute to embedding the principle of environmental sustainability into industrial relations.

Work in a Warming World programme

The Work in a Warming World research programme has compiled a collection of publicly-available “greening” clauses from Canadian collective agreements. The dissemination of this information is intended to help unions who want to fight climate change by bringing environmental issues into their collective bargaining priorities.

The clauses include those related to green training and education, workplace environmental committees, recycling, commuting, green procurement and energy conservation.
