Tackling sexual harassment at work - a guide for union reps (February 2018)

Chapter 4

Reporting channels

[ch 4: page 36]

The Norfolk County Council (NCC) policy acknowledges that normal reporting channels might be difficult to use because of embarrassment, fears of not being taken seriously, fears of damage to reputation, fears of reprisal or the prospect of damaging the working environment. It suggests that complaints can be made to the organisation’s Harassment Support Officers who are identified on notice boards, or union reps, as an alternative to raising the matter with a line manager.
