BAME workers are often unaware of job openings, or are not shortlisted, interviewed or appointed into positions because of the processes used to recruit and select staff.

It is therefore important for employers to carefully scrutinise their recruitment and selection methods to ensure they don’t leave out Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) workers or exclude them from the better jobs.
