State support and coronavirus - a trade union guide (June 2020)

Chapter 3

How much can you get from PIP?

[ch 3: page 25]

PIP payments are made up of a daily living component and a mobility component. You could get money for one or both parts, at either a standard or enhanced rate, depending on how your health condition or disability affects you. People who are terminally ill and whose death can reasonably be expected within six months receive the higher rate of the daily living component.

Daily living component Mobility component
Standard £59.70 per week £23.60 per week
Enhanced £89.15 per week £62.25 per week

PIP is tax free and it does not count against your Universal Credit payment.

Your carer could also get Carer’s Allowance, worth up to £67.25 a week, if you have substantial caring needs.
