Drivers' wages

A spring offensive to improve wages in road transport sectors is planned by the T&G general union. The campaign will affect public transport, haulage, distribution and logistics, focusing mainly on lorry and van drivers. The announcement on 20 November coincided with a second day of strike action over pay by T&G members working as bus drivers for London Metroline.

However, a strike by 5,000 GMB members at DHL Express parcels appeared to have been averted last month as a new deal was put to members.
