Unions must do more to tackle climate change, according to Robert Sneddon, health and safety officer at Community union.

After attending the United Nations climate change conference in Nairobi and seeing desertification's effects, Sneddon told Labour Research that a global perspective is needed.

"We're recycling plastic cups whilst they are dying from a lack of water", he said, urging trade unionists to do everything possible to reduce carbon emissions while there is still time.
