NHS pay

Improvements in the details of the pay package on offer to NHS staff in England are being considered by the unions. The staging of the 2.5% award (scrapped in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) would remain but negotiated changes include a minimum £400 increase for the lowest paid, funding for training, and help with professional fees. All UK rates of pay would come back into line on 1 November and there would be discussions on a future multi-year pay deal.
