Postal services will be reviewed

The CWU communications union has welcomed a comprehensive review of developments in the postal services market following its liberalisation two years ago. Announced last month by business secretary John Hutton, the review will be led by Richard Hooper, former deputy chair of the communications regulator Ofcom. It will consider how the universal postal service can be maintained in an increasingly competitive market.
