Sex discrimination ruling is reinstated

In the high profile case Allen & ors v GMB ([2008] EWCA Civ 810; [2008] IRLR 690, the Court of Appeal has reinstated the employment tribunal’s finding of indirect sex discrimination by the GMB general union in its conduct of single status pay negotiations.

The House of Lords has now refused to give permission to appeal the Court of Appeal’s decision.
