Health & Safety Matters

Safety info is wanted on nanotechnologies

General union Unite wants workers who work with nanotechnologies, particularly in laboratories or in manufacturing to provide them with vital safety information.

The union wants to develop its health and safety policies on nanotechnology and discuss appropriate controls with the Health and Safety Executive and others.

It wants workers, whose work involves potential exposure to nanoparticles, to contact the union, explaining the type of work done, the health and safety information provided by the employer and what controls are in place.
