Human rights claims

In a recent case alleging breaches of the Human Rights Act 1998 the court ruled that the Act was not relevant. In the case of De Keyser v Wilson [2001] IRLR 324 the Employment Appeal Tribunal said that a private sector employer was not breaching the Act just because a consultant acting for the employer had circulated private information about an individual.
