Keates re-elected

Chris Keates has been elected general secretary of the NASUWT teachers’ union for a second term. She was re-elected unopposed after receiving three times the necessary number of branch nominations and the endorsement of the union’s national executive.

The union’s president, Amanda Haehner, said it was a “fantastic endorsement” of Keates who had played a “pivotal role” in negotiating the many workload benefits teachers have achieved.
