Worries over disability

The Joint Select Committee on Human Rights has said that the government should change or drop its proposed exemptions (or reservations) from the United Nations’ Disability Rights Convention.

The committee, made up of peers and MPs remains unconvinced by the government’s position on a number of matters, including special education provision, and benefits for the disabled.
