LRD annual general meeting

The Labour Research Department (LRD) annual general meeting took place on 20 April with keynote speaker Roger Jeary, director of research at Unite, giving a presentation on the effects of the reccession and the trade union response.

The new LRD executive committee took office with five new members: Paul Bell (GMB), Stephen Court (UCU), Denis Lenihan (PCS), John Rimmer (NASUWT) and Colin Surrey (NASUWT). The other committee members are: Sam Apter (Unite), Richard Ascough (GMB), David Ayrton (NUJ), Helen Donoghue (UCU), George Georgiou (RCM), Dave Gott (RMT), Gary Jones (CWU), Steve Lewis (POA), Mary Nicholas (PCS), Simon Parry (Prospect), David Powell (NUT), honorary treasurer: Howard Marchant (Connect).
