Men must get wiser over prostate cancer

General union Unite is promoting prostate cancer awareness, after surveys revealed that many men would rather “sit tight” and hope the problem goes away.

Prostate cancer is the most common male cancer in the UK, with over 27,000 men diagnosed each year and 10,000 deaths.

The union is to lobby the government to secure regular consultations with GPs for men over 50.
