Post Office row

Postal workers in Scotland and London took strike action last month against cuts which broke a 2007 national agreement on modernisation.

Royal Mail was accused of abandoning the fourth phase of the deal involving joint working groups, designed to improve industrial relations and negotiate on a range of issues. The CWU union nevertheless offered a three month no-strike deal in return for engagement on modernisation and getting the company on a sound footing.
