The 855-member Jersey Civil Service Association will become a branch of TUC-affiliated technical and managerial union, Prospect, after members voted in favour of the merger by 524 votes to 60.

It follows in the path of the Association of Guernsey Civil Servants, which merged with Prospect at the beginning of 2008. The Isle of Man Government Officers Association has been part of Prospect since 1990.
